Weldwide Solutions Limited encourages the use of Weld Backing Tapes and Ceramic Tiles, when customers are single sided welding sheet metal and plates as well as cylindrical vessels.
Once the product is fixed to the back of the joint preparation, it allows the fabricator to weld their component with the confidence that the weld root pass is supported.
Backing Tapes and Ceramic Backing Tiles help shield the underside of the weld root, minimising levels of oxidation and can even eliminate the need to gouge or grind back the weld.
